The Aloe plant is great for burns! You break the plant open & smear the gel on your burns. It will take the pain away & speeds up the healing process. You can also buy Aloe Vera Gel at Wall marts & some Pharmacies The stuff is like a miracle for burns. It will also minimize scaring big time.Good luck!!!:)

Thanks Deb... They wrapped me up in wet silver nitrate... Its my hands and parts on my face, I may have to get a graph... I have to use special soaked gauze and all kinds of creams... Its crazy but it could have been a lot worse... Ive counted my blessings... O:-)

F&W sorry pzarcaro I know what you are going through as my daughter was ran over by a drunk driver last year and as a result she now has metal in her leg and arm but had severe road rash and I had to do same with soaked gauze and lots of creams she has scars on whole side of her body but greatest thing is she is here with us that's the most important same with you you are still here with us that's the most important

Om-gosh, that's horrible !!!! Wow... I can't even imagine the pain that she endured mentally and physically !!!! Also, the pain and worried that you as parents went through !!!! I'm SO sorry your family was forced to deal with such a situation...
How old was she at the time ???Was she on foot ??? Did they catch and punish the person who did this ??? Even if they did, I'm sure it was of little consolation... How is she doing these days ??? I know, I'm so nosey... Lol.
It was one of the most painful things I've ever had to endure... There seems to be NO relief from the pain & they have given me some heavy duty pain killers... Plus, process of healing is so slow from burns... The skin is never the same...
As you said, the most important fact is that we are still alive & kicking... Oh and complaining !!! Lol... I am very grateful because I was shown such mercy... I'm still here & so is she !!!
Lucky plus some... The hospital & doctors said it could have been so much worse... Its really crazy what your brain pulls up when you are in total panic mode !!!
Anyway, thanks for your comment and well wishes... It helps too know the thoughts of our family members at the time , which go thru everything with us...

She was 16 years old at the time she just turned18 a week ago her and her friend were walking and yes they caught him he was sentenced to 3 months in county jail he was out in 32 days go figure and it was his second arrest for dwi his bac was 0.16 when he got to hospital not at the scene at the hospital and he ran for 2 1/2 hours before they got him so I'm sure it was well more then that when it happened but anyways she is doing great she is determined that nothing happened to her but the scars are constant reminders of that horrible night I'm so grateful that her best friend was with her because he left her there. I would so like to do it to him to show him what she went through but that's not in my blood ya know karma will get him lol I hope I'm here for it lol

Yes I agree he should have gotten a lot longer and it was not easy holding it together but I had to because my daughter needs me

My hands, especially where my fingers bend got infected... They cut off the old skin and scrubbed the burns...
Pain just doesn't come close too how that felt... I saw The STARS !!!! That was a few ago and I'm still seeing them !!!! Now my hand's are wrapped up... It makes it difficult to type but I'm very grateful to still have both hands to feel pain in !!!!! So, actually I'm doing well and can't complain... Thanks so much for asking... Appreciate it... ♥
