We have a tradition in my family that every year in the
Winter we go to Lava Hot Springs in Idaho and relax in the 100 and higher degree natural springs! I you live in the western part of the US and have NOT been there, you are soo missing out! The town is so small if you blink you miss it, the parades start at the top of main Street and go down into the town, and then turn around and go back up, and it ake a total of maybe 10 minutes!!!!! It used to have to "Hot pots" all open in the ground just as they were meant to be, but then word got out of how awesome they are and they built an Olympic size pool, and turned it into a little tourist town, filling the ground pots with cement, and fencing them off so they could make some money! No one minded paying, but they left one natural spring open and it was so beautiful! The next year we went back and they had filled that one up too with ground because they had trouble with skinny dippers!
Anyway , the town has an active volcano on their little mountain and there is lava, we're talking huge rocks and chunks EVERYWHERE! They are so pretty and cool, we load the cars up and bring tons home every trip! My backyard looks like we have had major eruptions!!!! So I thought I''d share before they start charging, or God forbid, make it illegal to take it!
This is my gift to you....your very own piece of Lava Hot Springs! I busted up about 3 giant chunks in my yard and still have tons!!! Google it sometime!!! You might just make it your next vacay!!!!
