stones will crack if you try to adjust it too much. since it is a curved setting, some may not want to do it.

My jewelry store told me the platinum covered silver cannot be sized because it will cause the platinum coating to crack or warp. Lovely ring F&W. Please, fan back.

@bessiedyer5 - not every jewellry store is equiped to size things of this nature. Silver rings plated rhodium/platinum can be resized, but it will be more costly than normal sizing. Once the ring is cut and resoldered to the needed size (which is normally up or down two sizes, unless you do as daully suggested which is possible and a bit more costly) the ring willl have to be "recoated" or dipped. The estate jeweler I deal with (and have gotten tons of pieces from) is a jeweller/gemologist, If he has nothing going on at the time, he will size a ring for you while you wait. For rings that have the rhodium/platinum coatings, even HE sends them out. It is however possible to size soemthing like this. For some rings, the cost of sizing is just not worth it depending on the value of the ring. This ring is gorgeous, and love Welo Opals btw, I would pay to resize.
