The listing, ANTIQUE BABY BOTTLE & BOOKLET ON FEEDING FROM 1934 has ended.

Hello everyone, I have a very special treat for you Doll
collectors or just anybody who loves antiques. This is a
baby bottle with its original rubber Nipple (hardened some from normal aging. It is approx. 8 inches tall and has the ounce grading scale on the front and is in mint condition.
This has been kept in a trunk nearly all this time minus a
few minutes to show it to someone over the years. This
was my moms baby bottle that my grandmother kept. My mom was an only child for 12 years and then she had a brother, but he died 6 years later of cancer, just 4 days
short of his 6th birthday and was buried on his birthday.
Her children, then us grandkids, where her life and she
never got rid of sentimental things. Thank you for looking.

The bottle is neat but is that the original book?

Bottles did not come with a booklet....this was passed to mothers in the hospital. They sent you home with the latest baby samples and a bottle or two and how to take care of them. By the 1920's & 30's The USA formed the health Dept.'s in most cities because they realized that health and cleanliness went hand in hand along with education. So they went out and taught mothers sanitization skills and the national death rate of infants fell steadily for several years then started to plateau in the 70's & 80's . By the beginning of the 80's most public programs died out with our children being healthier. More history.......I love it ....can't you tell ( LOL)

Thank you. The booklet was really interesting to see what new moms did with
their babies and how nurses took care of them in the hospital and teaching new
moms the latest techniques.
