That's when a plan crash happened in 1959. And is the in the song American pie. My best friends mom also passed away that day, this year as well. February isn't a good month. I wasn't born then. My gradma loved that band.

The song, Three Stars was the first tribute song to honour the Day the music Died. You can download this song from Amazon for $.99.

The second tribute song was by Waylon Jennings and it's called, The Stage (Stars in Heaven). American Pie was the third.

You know my Dad always said the "Best was Born in February"
George Washington on the 22, Abe Lincoln on the 12, Ronald Reagan on the 6,
My Dad was full blooded Norwegian was born on the 7, My 2nd to the youngest sister and my hubby share the 25 and my son is on the 4...........No one argue with him because you could never win an argument with a Norwegian especially my dad bless his soul....When there's thunder and lightening we always would say that mom{died in 1981} and dad{died in 1986} were arguing again my dad name was Thorvald {means thunder god} so see he is still winning............Hahaha....
F-W-B- hope u fan back...they also died in the same month mom on the 7-30th.... July is our bad month of family dying,
