The listing, Blackberry Pearl 8130 Silver has ended.

This is an Alltel BB Pearl in silver. It comes with the original books, CD, battery, USB charger, screen protector, black slip in case, and gel sleeve in gray, along with the original box. I upgraded to a different BB and then an HTC Hero. The local Alltel was pushed out of my area by a small cell phone carrier (Element Mobile) and I had to get another phone that they accepted. Phone is in excellent condition and a sweet little smartphone!
Free shipping to anywhere in US, if bids go to 4000. Otherwise, $8 shipping (the price I just paid to ship another phone yesterday).

I've been told that you can unlock any phone and use it with any company. However, I don't know if that's true, because I don't know how to unlock the phone.

Very nice cell phone. I currently have a cell up for auction also. What company can it be used for? I thought Verizon took over Alltel so would the cell phone still be able to be used by any other carrier?

I honestly don't know if another carrier can use it. Was told that Verizon/Alltel but not sure about another carrier. Someone said it would have to be unlocked to be used by another, but I don't quite understand all of that, so I can't say for certain.
