No, it does not have any adapter for the car. Only adapter for electricity. But it works on batteries, so can be watched in a war.

Yes, it uses regular batteries. Am not sure which exactly, but would be perfect for someone who has no electricity.

Yes, it can be hooked up to the tv and used as a regular dvd player and unhook when you take it out. I have one of these and take it with me to the gym and watch movies when I am on the treadmill. It is awesome. We also take it on vacation and watch movies at the beach, etc.
