do they spread? do they like sun?

The plants themselves do not spread; however, unless you pull the seed pods, they burst and throw a multitude of seeds. I've averaged anywhere from 5-15 seeds per pod from this batch. I had them potted and in full sun all summer. The flowers were full and the plants vibrant. I think they will tolerate filtered sun as well.
