The listing, !!!KEYS!!! has ended.
You'll be bidding on 10 assorted keys--mailbox, car, house, etc. My son was given a box of keys by a kindly locksmith who knew that he collects them (my son's autistic). I will choose 10 of them @ random for you, among all the colors and sizes.
I like key necklaces and key collages and keys tied with ribbons in scrapbooks. I appreciate that for years, Janet Jackson sported her house key on one of her hoop earrings. I love the sound of keys turning in a lock and jingling from a key chain on a man's belt (usually that's a man who works with his hands). The symbolism attached to keys alone endears them to us. Look @ all the celebrities who wear Tiffany keys close to their hearts.
Save America's Keys! This is another cause close to my heart--disappearing keys. Not only are locks going to be completely digital in the future, but even now old keys are being melted down to make new ones to conserve resources (a good thing). When there is no need for them, they will be melted down for candle holders or the like. But what of our love affair with keys?!
Thanks for bidding and saving a piece of Americana!
