Description

The listing, To Paris With Love Embossing Folder has ended.

This embossing Folder is one I call "To Paris with Love." This is a folder by Darice. It measures 5 3/4 inches by 4 1/4 inches. The words on the folder say "Bonjour! c'est la vie." Of course you can see the Eiffel Tower and the Romantic Side Walk Cafe plus Birds on the wire at the top!

This can be used for scrapbooking, embellishing, card making, or more. It can help add texture and style to your paper and cardstock projects. These folders fit most embossing machines. It works best with heavy weight cardstock. I like to use timholtz.com as a "how to" site. It's linked to many you-tube videos. Tim Holtz also sells a sander (which I do not include in the auction) which can make the embossing "pop." Anna Griffin likes to take embossing folders and use a brayer and washable metallic ink to ink the folder. She then inserts a piece of paper then runs it through the embosser. She also has used just an ink pad to dab the image that's embossed. Plus, she also lightly sands the embossed image. This should work in most popular embossing machines. The folder measures about 5 3/4 inches by about 4 1/4 inches.

Awww I don't have a machine :( I need about 6 sets of these for a project. I'm saving for a machine one of these days. I really want the digital kind I saw on HSN & Tim Holtzs vagabond :) ahhh patience!

I'm not sure who makes the digital kind ???? Yes, save up for one you want. I suggest the Teresa Collins one that figures things out for you and is electric. The Vagabond is cool too!!!! I love the way you can add a metal shim on it to hold the die cuts in place :)

I've heard good things about the Vagabond go online and check out the HSN one and they had one that you didn't have to crank I'm not really familiar with these machines. BUT I ♡ the die cuts &embossed items so much. I'm definitely going to take you up on some of your suggestions Thank u

You are welcome! I have a Vagabond, but didn't know they now made one that you don't have to crank! Good for Tim Holtz!!!! He's one of my favorite designers. And, you will adore his website! I went nuts after seeing it! In fact, I just got through using some of his materials and stamped my brown paper sack bookcovers for school! The students always love my bookcovers and I don't get a lot of purposeful damage to my books as a result!

I don't think its TimHoltz I just saw 15 minutes of a demonstration on HSN and it was amazing. TH is absolutely one of my very favorite and we both know we like 7Gypsies and anything vintage I also really ♥Prima. I have 10 prima flower hair clips that I just made. I can't wait to show you :) would you have any use for a hair clip because I can gladly add it to your ever growing package for yourself or family or friend. Let me know. You know it'll be light colors vintage paper PRIMA ;) I actually thought of you since you have such similar taste but didn't no if you were anything in your hair ????

I love Prima too! Another thing we have in common! And, yes. I watch many of the how to videos when I can on hsn. Some of the items I've purchased from there have made it to here on Listia. As far as bows---definitely!!!! I have 3 young girls whose stockings I fill at Christmas! It's part of being a grandma! 2 pink and 1 blue. (One of my angels detests pink!). And, thanks! I don't wear anything in my hair because it's so short because of swimming!

That would be awesome! The girls are 1st grade through 5th grade. Flowers sound lovely too! Are you making barrettes or pony tail holders or just hair ornaments?
