The organization formed in 1976 in Fall River, Massachusetts, as a nonprofit corporation in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The term "Tin can sailor" is used to refer to sailors in destroyers.

Patch Size: 3 inches height by 5 inches width
Type: Sew-on
Condition: There is a small round spot just beneath the yellow border at the top where the word CAN is. This spot shows in the front, but more so in the back.
