why dont you just delete the auction so no one else will bid on it?

He can't delete the auction after someone has bid on it. If people could delete the auctions after a bid was placed, it would leave the sellers the option to kill an auction right before it ends if the credits bid are not as high as they wanted, letting them off the hook without any negative feedback or anything. It protects the buyers from getting strung along till the end just to have it canceled in the last minutes.
Sherry, next time read the rules of the site before throwing out comments that are easily covered in the bylaws.
