10KT Italy and the other side has a PGDA on it. The PGDA stands for the Piercing Pagoda which is where the piece came from. It is real Italian gold.

It's actually a little over 8 1/2 inches with the clasp closed. If you unclasp it and stretch it out its 18 inches long.
