This collection gathers together 100 of the finest tunes we listened to, in every popular style, taking you on a chart-topping trip through time. This was the golden age of the "power ballad", as performed by "hair metal" heroes like Night Ranger, White Lion, Cinderella and Kip Winger. It was also a glorious time for synth-pop "New Wavers" like Howard Jones, Bow Wow Wow, Flock of Seagulls and Soft Cell.

So break out your "boom box" and get set to party like it's 1985!
