I'm sorry, I can't answer that question. There is absolutely nothing on the outside of the box that indicates a "version". I do not want to break the seal in order to open the box. I guess the absence of a "version" could mean that it is the first one, but that is just a guess. Sorry I can't help more - it is a good question. This was given to me about 6 months ago and I just haven't used it, and decided I probably wouldn't - so decided to list it for someone who would.

I figured it would be too. You see the front in the scan. Both sides and the end just have the name Dragon and the Nuance name and symbol. The end where the upc was has nothing on it - I guess it might have been with the UPC - but if so, it is gone. The back only has the Nuance name and symbol, along with their address.

The original version was called " Dragon Naturally Speaking". The Nuance entered later. If....it is an english version CD....ITS probably less than 5-8 years old.

The box is unopened so I am not sure. But I suspect it is just the cds - no way of knowing without opening box - there is no listing of contents on the outside
