It docked in Liverpool, England near a month later. The next 3c stamp issued November 9, 1948, honors Georgia Native Moina Michael - she founded the Flanders Field Memorial Poppy Commemoration or Poppy Day to honor Veterans of the US Armed Forces. The 6c stamp issued Sept 19, 1970 honors the dedication of the Stone Mountain Memorial in Georgia. IT depicts the Memorials completed structure which took over 50 years to create.
