Desktop memory is longer than laptop and that was my reason for asking the question I have a desktop that ACTUALLY uses laptop memory Its a lenovo think center but does use ddr3 laptop memory and if this had been laptop I was going to bid because I want to upgrade its memory

Yes Lenovo think centre is a desktop bit it does take ram that looks like laptop ram !! I have upgraded a Lenovo think centre from 1 gigabyte to 4 gigabyte !! Also upgraded the hard drive from 120 gigabyte to 1 terabyte which equals out to be 1,024 gigabytes !!

sorry, but not 1024.. 1 terabyte is 965 gigabytes give or take a few megs. no intellectual injury intended.
