Description

The listing, 10 WWII O.P.A. Vulcanized Tokens has ended.

During World War II, the federal government initiated a new agency called the "Office of Price Administration." Its objectives included rationing of scarce commodities, price fixing on certain items to avoid speculation, and preventing runaway inflation during the war. To make exact change, shopkeepers were issued small red and or blue tokens. They were made of a vulcanized fiber and were 16-mm in diameter. These basically were "small change" for stamps from ration books. These tokens were issued from 1942 to 1945 when rationing ended. $2.00USD First class Shipping/handling. Postal Money Orders or Paypal at fleamarketmutt@yahoo.com, PLEASE send payment as gift, so no fees are taken from $2 for postage. Will ship after payment is received. Will combine shipping for multiple items. Thanks for looking and good luck!
