Description

The listing, (1) Bark Off,Ultrasonic Dog Bark training aid, wall mounted/hand held (TWO with G.I.N) has ended.

I got this last year when my neighbor was keeping her dog outside all day long alone, and was barking constantly. I ended up contactlng animal control and they had to start keeping her inside and my problem was resolved, I never got a chance to use these devices.. so my loss is someone elses gain..

Bark Off is the ingenious, ultrasonic training aid that allows you to take control over your dog's nuisance barking. Just switch on the Bark Off device and an ultrasonic signal, inaudible to human ears, instantly captures your dog's attention and immediately interrupts the barking pattern. This allows your dog to calm down and stop barking painlessly and naturally. BarkOff works so well because the ultrasonic signal actually teaches your dog the difference between nuisance barking and barking that protects your family and your home. Battery-powered BarkOff can be used indoors or outside and is especially helpful in the car when you have to take your dog on a long drive. It allows you to control your dog's difficult behavior humanely without trying your patience. Best of all, BarkOff is small enough to fit in your pocket so you can take it virtually anywhere you take your dog!

Shipping is FREE within the United states

IF the GET it NOW device is used I iwll give you TWO devices..

These devices take one 9 volt batteries, which is not included in the auction. thanks

I have ten dogs. I don't leave them outside by themselves ever. We just got new neighbors and they dogs will bark at them if they come out of the house while we are outside. They ended up complaining to the police and our landlord. We have never had a complaint in the 6 years we've had the dogs. .. anyways I been keeping them inside more and more and not sitting outside with them like we used to and guess what.. their house got broken into last week during the day! I told them hey, I don't feel a bit bad because If I was able to sit outside with them like we used to do they would of never been able to break into your house.. she got mad lol.. watching and bidding.. added too..

I have large herding dogs, the youngest being a Great Pyrenese. This breed is known to be petrified of loud noises; however, I worked dilligently since he was a puppy conditioning him to highpower whistles, alarms, sirens etc. when they are associated with me. The point being: he is not the least bit hurt or damaged by these things and yes he was afraid at first but I worked him through it. All these comments about hurting one's dog, etc., kinda makes one wonder - how they are using these tools.

You can abuse any training device. I think ignorance it partly to blame, considering the person cant hear it.. maybe they think its not working LOL. and its important when using this device and any other training device that you use it.. and when the behavior stops.. meaning a pause in the barking.. you must stop pressing the button . and reward the silence.. Dogs are so smart.. usually its the humans that need training..LOL. got that from Caesar Milan ;)" both him and Victoria stillwell are amazing trainers... Dogs need to be treated as dogs.. they are not "children" dont get me wrong.. my dog is my shadow, she is an indoor dog and even sleeps with my children occassionally depending on what they watched on TV before bed lol.. but she is always invited on the bed,, and knows its a privilege and Not a RIGHt... sorry got a off topic.. I Love the Great Pyrenese breed, such gentle giants with lots of hair.. used to work for a groomer.. we did quite a few of them.. super sweet dogs.. thanks for sharing :)"

We are not taking anything away from mans best freind, barking is natural yes, but excessive barking isnt necessary.. and yes dogs bark, but they also can learn to be quiet as well, when asked.. or told "Thank you, I see that person walking another dog" you have done your job letting me know, I dont need to listen to you bark for another 10 minutes.. its all in training, I think people who let their dogs bark non stop should fined.. dogs bark for alot of reasons and many of them are just plain Bored out of their minds.. stuck in the back yard while their family is inside.. No wonder they bark.. but I dont think that everyone else should suffer because it that... enough said.

Sorry to hear your baby is scared of load noises, and storms, lots of dogs are afraid of those things, I think its all in how you use the device, any device can be misused..with not so good results.. I think this is a great device if used correctly and with some positive reinformcement training as well. thanks. its not for everyone.

These don't actually have a button, you switch it 'on' and when the dog barks, it emits a sound (yes, it hurts their ears, which is why they stop barking) and then when they stop barking, it stops the sound. It does not do damage, though. I have one and love it. However, if you have loud children running around, a party where everyone is talking loudly, it can trigger the device to emit the sound, which effectively punishes the dog without it doing anything wrong. Just something to be aware of. We had a neighbor in an apartment complex who uses this, and the upstairs neighbor would play his music loudly, which triggered the Bark Off and then the dog would whine. So, if there's other loud noises, just switch it to off for the time being.

This sounds great. I have a dog who barks just to bark. We are trying to teach him not to bark at the wind. LOL. He is a good watchdog but when we bring him in at night he just wants to sit and bark. Gets on the nerves after awhile. I don't want to spank him though.

Sounds like this may be just what you need. yes and yelling doesnt work because they think you are joining in.. LOL.. Its all in the timing... you need to praise the 'quiet" moments.. so they figure out that if they are quiet.. good things happen.. and when they are not.. you know the rest.... I hope these really help someone get some well deserved PEACE!!! :). thanks hun for stopping by my auction good luck if you decide to bid.

Ok, perhaps not the smartest question but I feel obliged to ask: is there really a big difference between this and the HIGH POWERED dog whistles used for hunting and herding? Why are people afraid this will hurt their dog? thanks.
May 17th, 2011 at 5:58:07 AM PDT by
Mod medium
No such thing as silly questions, To be honest I am not sure, but I would think they are very similar , this has two different levels high and low.. and I think the hunting dog whilstles dont.. its all in how hard you blow I think.. These devices do not hurt the dog at all when used properly. i think it more startles them and thus breaking the barking cycle.. and then when they stop.. you praise.. and let them know how much you appreciate NO barking :)" I think most people just dont understand the product, and plain dont know .. so they assume.. which is unfortunate.

anywho..thanks so much for checking out my listing..
