Columbines are herbaceous perennial flowering plants that are one of the more unusual flowering plants you can grow. They have delicate, fern like foliage, and bicolored flowers. They are humming bird magnets.

Choose a sun-filled planting spot rhat provides them with drainage.
You plant them about 1/8". (I covered my new seeds with compost when I started mine.)
They germinate in about 3-4 weeks.
They come back every year.
You can grow them in clumps for fuller flowering, or separate them to about 18".
I remove faded flowers to get much more, and brighter flowers when in bloom.
I really enjoy these flowers.
