This is for a used samsung gravity. Its a 3G phone and works good the only problem is that the touch screen is crazy...lol Sometimes you have to push down alittle harder and if you don't push right on the icon it will click the icon next to it. I think its cause the screen has wear on it but I'm not sure. I do know that it drove my very impatient child nuts. other then that is works good. Best of Luck!!

Yes it takes a sim card... and I don't have a charger for it but I will keep looking. If I don't find one I'll buy one before sending.

How well do the icons for contacts and messages work? I don't use my phone for data although it's included in my plan so texts and calls are what I am primarily concerned with.

Phone works good. You can call out and calls can come in. Data works good too. Text is not a problem as long as you use the slide keyboard. The reason I say that is cause I think that my daughter used her nails on the screen and That's what caused the wear. At times the screen seems to sensitive and at other times not sensitive enough but you can still use it.. it works.

It's not a smart phone, this runs the standard operations of phones that were standard 5-6 years ago. Camera, email, txt, call, and a basic web system, does not run android or any other smart phone systems that I think most people are thinking it does. Standard, it's a phone that is a phone and that's it.
