Pcc is not a actual grading service, they are
first party graders or self slabbers. not a 3rd party grader,
after all is said, this still a nice coin and auction

hi jeffrey ----nice coin and auction-i have been collecting coins for many years and have accumulated a vast collection-the coin is nice but would not grade a true ms68 by pcgs or ngc this coin would grade between ms63-ms65---the coin has some dings on the rim -1 smaller one and 1 larger flat indentation-this does affect value to some degree--however, overall it is still a nice coin -the winner of this auction will get a great coin though
Jun 28th, 2014 at 4:41:29 PM PDT by

Yeah, both myself and the guy I deal with in coins at my local coin store were thinking it would come back from PCGS as a 64-65. It's not perfect, but it is a very beautiful coin and well worth the credits I'm asking for it. Hopefully the winner enjoys it. Thank you for the great comment.

I have 2 1909 S V.D.B MS65 wheat pennies. Does anyone now what they are worth an can u comment back an let me know. Please.
Jun 28th, 2014 at 11:42:55 PM PDT by
Original
You would be in the $6000 each ballpark depending on who graded them. If it is not pcgs or ngc it might be a little less. Hold onto those!
Jun 28th, 2014 at 11:59:12 PM PDT by
Original
They were graded by it says NGC. Don't know who they are but maybe u guys do. That's why I asked. One was grade MS65 an the other one MS63.

I have some 1909 VDB cents. They are worth $30 in a MS-63 professional graded slabbed state. On Ebay they sell for about $20.To hchodges82 that feels bad about letting his 1922 cent go,do not feel too bad.The 1922 is only worth about $20 in good condition. On Ebay they sell for about $14 in good condition. That is based on if they were a "D" mint mark and graded with slab.If it was a NO "D" mint mark,it would be worth up to $750 graded by NGC and PCGS or ANACS only. Not graded ones sell for about $500 or less on Ebay. The weak "D" mint mark is worth $25 in good condition and graded. On Ebay it sells for $14 in good condition and not graded.I know because I have all three and a few no "D" mint marks. If hchodges82 had a 1922 NO "D" cent and if the seller sends it off to be slabbed and graded by NGC, PCGS or ANACS and it comes back as being real with at least a good condition. The winner would sure have got the better deal and lucky.Still after paying for the grading and after all the fees and charges from Ebay and Paypal, the cost in pocket would be a lot less but still more than the 2000 credit he won it for.

I'm a complete novice to this hobby and maybe thinking about jumping in it a little more seriously, and this question I'm sure is covered by one one of the comments here, to many to sort through due to the obvious popularity of what you have. My question is how do you know the mint it came from. Thanks
Jul 1st, 2014 at 12:54:14 AM PDT by
Original
Usually by the mint mark. Most coins are minted in Philadelphia and most don't have the p mark but the other mints d for Denver and s for San Francisco are on most of their coins. There are other mints as well such as o for New Orleans and w for west point and the notorious cc for Carson city but those are not as common. Great question!

Put my bid in ,hope to win. I will end up getting this regraded in I win. I won a 1932d Washington quarter on here for 42,723. Others bidding knew it was a key date and I was surprised that it sold that cheap. There are some bargains on here. It was graded by ANACS as VF30 and worth about $180 to $230.
