Up for auction is an extremely rare grease error state quarter (illinois, 2003).
this coin was given to me by a neighbor who knows about my collection, and generously took this out of his own to give it to me. but personally, i'd much rather give this to someone else, as i do not collect errors.

keep in mind that this is a very, very, very rare coin. no lowballed gin offers will be accepted, and any overall rude comments will result in yourself being blocked!

days have been set to 10 to give everyone a chance to bid and will not be lowered.

Could we get some better pictures of the coin and where the error is? These are pretty blurry and I can't see anything of note.

If you look at the 3rd picture, everything is completely literate, and the black/grey that is shown on both faces of the quarter clearly shows the error: this quarter was struck through a grease pallet (normally used for U.S proofs [to grease them, wax them, then shine them] as well as for other novelty collectors coins), other than the grease error, there is nothing more to be shown.

Yet, this is a VERY rare type of error to find in coins, especially of such recent year as this one is; the U.S Mint has spent much money attempting to perfect their currency production, making this State Quarter Grease error, something truly amazing.
