I wonder why it does that with the capital letters. Most of the time it does it for me is on the app. Most of the time the website works, but not all. Why were you suspended? That's terrible. I've never known you or your auctions to be unclear, wrong or in any way unfair. Well, I'm glad you're back! And I hope Karma catches up with the person that got you suspended!

I was suspended for listing Private auctions. I have been asked to list a custom bracelet by Listians, the most recent one for a lady whose best friend passed away from Breast Cancer. She said, if I would make her one of my special bracelets, she could deal with losing her friend..How can I be expected not to do it?

I am hoping I can let Listia know, perhaps there needs to be a way we can do custom auctions. Even some eBay sellers do that for me!

I don't see anything wrong with doing a custom bracelet. It's not like we can make the auctions private. If someone else wanted to bid, they have the chance when you first list it. I've had some people list something for me with a GIN, cuz it was something we agreed upon...but still, if someone else got to it before I did, oh well. Is that what happened? That's sad. I had someone make a necklace with the color beads I liked. Then when it was done, she told me when it was up. So does that mean because I got to it first, that was a "private auction". That's ridiculous. If someone else happened upon it before the person you intended, then no one would be complaining. I'm sorry that happened to you

I think the thing that really denotes it as a Private auction, is, if there is no verbage, such as description, etc., wording such as 'Susie's stuff' or auction for 'Mary Jane'.

If an auction is listed for anyone to bid on, and the GIN is set for the agreed upon credits, you are right, if it gets taken, oh well. If your friend were to use the GIN, that would be good, perhaps letting it get a few bids before using the GIN would prove anyone could bid on it. I am sorry it happened too. I appreciate the kindness and the input! I would like to see Listia adopt a way to allow us to hold auctions for friends. My last auction before the suspension was for a woman who had just lost her best friend to Breast Cancer. She told me if she had one of my bracelets to remember her by, she could bear losing her friend a little easier. I felt like I HAD to do this for her.

Surely Listia can come up with a way to allow us to list remembrance or awareness bracelet or other items. They get their credits either way...

I got suspended for 14 days too once.It was the longest 14 days of my life. My boyfriend laughed at me because I was on "time out". Mine was for telling horrible people not to leave negative feedback because someone was in the hospital when their auctions ended. I thought it was horrible to give her bad feedback. It wasn't like she had done it on purpose. Apparently one of the horrible people said I was harassing her. Oh well, it was worth it!
