The listing, Blinx: The Time Sweeper for X-Box has ended.

Own an Xbox? Then you must get Blinx: The Time Sweeper. I'm not kidding—no Xbox library can be complete without it.

It's not because Blinx is a great game (it's good, not great). It's because Blinx is one of the most innovative titles you'll ever play. Seriously. Read on.

Blinx places you in the role of an anthropomorphic cat who must rid the galaxy of these monster dudes and save the very fabric of time. Plot aside (please!), Blinx is essentially a traditional platformer: Control your cute trademarked® character, carefully winding your way through many levels, picking up weapons, fighting bosses and collecting rewards. Dang if there ain't even a princess to save.

But Blinx introduces a very key twist: Through a simple, VCR-like control panel, you get to muck with time. Depending on the situation, you can set your controls to Rewind, Pause, Slow-mo, Fast-Forward and Record. It's a sort of Matrix/Clockstoppers vibe, and it is très cool. Say there are two monsters in your path and they're both tough to handle. Set your control to Pause and then watch as everything stops—except you. Now blast the baddies with ease.

Imagine scenarios with the other controls: Rewind, for instance, returns a razed bridge to its functional form. Record is the coolest. It records your every move for up to 10 seconds. Then, a sort of ghost Blinx appears and replays your previous actions, letting you accomplish other tasks. Neat.

Blinx is fun, though it's not particularly easy. Levels get challenging fairly early on (World 3 for me—I know, I know). And while controls seem tight, the camera is hella frustrating. You'll find yourself re-adjusting your view way too much.

Blinx may not net Game of the Year honors, but it certainly should garner awards for technical achievement. It's that innovative.
