Hasbro has since discontinued Squawkers, so you cannot buy a replacement remote for him.
When I bought mine on Amazon 6 or 7 years ago, I was sent two remotes for him. I no longer have the bird, but still have this extra remote. Pretty sure it would only work with Squawkers though. The bird works without a remote, but works better with one for programming him.
The remote requires two "AAA" batteries (not included)
The remote worked fine the last time it was used, it is just that the person taking the bird from me had no need of two remotes for him. The bird alone now re-sells for over $400, wish I had realized that before giving him away lol.
