Questions & Comments
Nancy, ya best step back this battle might get messy. Ya don't wanna get the blood, guts and gore on ya.
I have that problem withe chromed items sometimes too. Odd what your eyes see and the camera sees it differently. Just checking, I want it. Got any more of this model? They are often kept in sets.
nope, made a rule when I started this, only earned credits, no buying them. Listia charges more than what they trade for anyway. I'll let him have it, and hope somebody snipes him at the end.
Hi Nancy, New to your site!! F/W/B Just how many bids do you think an ANTIQUE/VINTAGE..100% ebay POWER SELLER in 5 areas.. for 8+ years (that means NEVER having even 1 Neutral or Negative Feedback) get for lessons in SNIPPING? On second thought I'll give them for free after I win this auction. lol (and they tell me I'm funny). PS...In anyone who has spare time (not watching to SNIPE) they could look up the yearly requirement (or monthly) to maintain POWER SELLER on ebay!! I LOVE listia. I have not felt so incredibly relaxed in years....
Okay Mac, you want it that bad, bring it on. You may get it, but you're gonna pay through the .... well some orifice or another that you'd really rather not have things dragged through!
1500 costs 5 bucks if you buy them, So that's 300 per dollar to buy, but the common trading value on here is about a buck a thousand, give or take a little bit. Naggin" who's naggin" not me. I may be bit hin' moanin' whinin' or kvetching, but naggin' never.
I call it something else. lol. Hey anyway, it's been fun ant that's what's good about this site, win lose or draw I have fun. Some lady banned me from her auctions only because I told her the lighters she had may not be as valuable or collectable as she thinks.
Nancy, you made my day. Sniping is when you want something REALLY badly. (I have had threats that I better not bid anymore). Anyway, you are down to the very last minutes, your heart is pumping and you are still high bidder. You are down to 1 minute. And then all of a sudden within 10 seconds of the very end of the auction someone comes in and snipes your item right from underneath your pumping heart and sweaty palms and no matter what you do you have lost.
I wasn't even rude about it, but what's antique and valuable depends a lot on maker, date, and most of all, condition. Technically, nothing she has was antique, as they weren't over a hundred years old. Vintage, yeah well that can mean last year, but antique has a finite definition. With most things, it's 100 years or more. Cars, pre 1948 can be considered antique, but the real antiques predate the model T fords. In cars, classic has a definition too, it used to be 20 years old or better, but I think that's been changed to pre1975. Oddly, in some musical instruments, antique means over a hundred, like with violins, in guitars it can mean anything pre 1941, and anything after 44 to 1970 can be considered classic. So, with lighters ... who knows what the standard is these days?
duh, do that first. I've messed myself up on Ebay that way too. Too soon old, too late smart. That's no toy you've got there, even used it's probably worth 75 bucks ro so. New, they cost like 135, so you can figure half that is the fair used value, if the condition is good.
I was quite surprised., but it is just sitting there and probably not used in a long time. It really looks brand new. Not even a scratch on it. I think you'll like it.
Had it by a good ways until the last couple of seconds. When it changed to done, I didn't have it. GRRRRR come out and fight, don't hide and wait, dog gone it.
K, lighting and angles are everything. Colors are only a perception of the eye anyway. Trust me, I'm partially color blind, I don't see green and brown like normal people do. In fact, if they're the same tone, I can't tell you the difference. The rainbows we all see are just a trick of the light too, they're not really there, so what is color anyway?
