As far as I know, yes. That is what it was being advertised as when I bought it. It looks a lot like carnelian and it is a gemstone (not glass or plastic). But....I didn't mine it myself and I'm not a gemologist...so I guess I can't say it is with 100% certainty...but I am confident it is ;)
