Description
The listing, WOODEN INDIAN TOKEN - CHIEF BUFFALO has ended.
Wooden token - 'Bout time to get it done' with Indian Chief on one side, obverse has Eric Tuttle, Chief Buffalo with Orem, Utah address. Don't know much about it, probably a political token.
Questions & Comments
Found a reference to Eric Tuttle as a commissioner of the Orem District, BSA dated May 2014. THe phone number was different but the Email address was the same, I am guessing like yourself that it is something political. I have a Shield from Ft Monroe National Park that has the same style of wood branding. I would be real interested in the path this token took to get to you.
A little more about the coin from Eric himself via excerpts from his email.
"these coins were made for a booth we (a friend and I) shared at the National Jamboree. We both make decorative walking sticks with our own designs, he does his with the lazer I turn mine on a lathe. We get quite a bit of interest in our work so my friend made these coins to pass out to people that stopped at our booth. We did a show a couple of years ago where we wore mountain man regalia, mine was actually an indian outfit with a full head dress that I also wear to Courts of Honor and other presentations."
