Perennial grows in zones 5-9. This vine almost growers itself but be careful it spreads really easy by its seeds. Humming birds, bees, butterflies all love the red bloom on this vine. Full sun to partial shade. I would not plant close to any structure. This is bare rooted so soak the roots for several hours and then plant at previous depth. Can be pruned in spring or fall.

Hi Sue! I'm so excited to see you are the one selling this vine! I wasn't sure if I could grow it well enough from seed to get much growth this year, but with an actual vine I know it will grow and flourish on the corner of my house in the front! I have several feeders that are swarmed by hummingbirds right now, and they stay all summer long, and my husband has really gotten to love the sweet little visitors! I hope I win this, and I wanted to say thank you also for sending the other seeds so fast! You're great!

Hey, I hope you win it to but I would not plant this to close to your house endless you are really going to keep up with the pruning. It grows really fast but the little guys really love it. Good luck.
