Hello I would think its for any dog that likes to play with balls. And it's soft not hard I know that . And it's activate glow when it's exposé to light. It is a very nice ball. I have a big dog she loves hers.and my friend has a small dog and he loves it too.

well my dog chewer and i watch to make sure she does not swollow any of the toy i pic it up and throw it away.but yes it might be done with if that happens so aways keep a eye on your dog at all times when playing with any toy..
