Cockscomb is very easily grown and can be grown indoors. This plant needs to get as much direct sunlight as possible, at least 6 to 8 hours. A good location in the home would be possibly a south facing window or sunroom. It can tolerate some partial shade, but will not grow as healthy and the flowering will not be as abundant and vivid as it should be. If planting in a pot they prefer growing in a premium potting mix that is well draining. It does not like too wet a soil or the plant will rot and die. Indoors it is easy to over water. Water your plant just enough to keep the soil from completely drying out.
