The listing, Carved Shell Bird Figure / Focal Point has ended.

A hand carved shell in the shape of a bird. Rather unique, I think. It measures 2 1/4" across, but is not flat. See second photo.

Today, I have a wide range of gemstone items from my mother's estate. Please take a look. They all need a good home!

Unless a company started reproducing them, they're much older than that. My "l-o-n-g time ago" was in the mid-70's. It's also when I started my first job, in a bead store at 17. They were one of the best sellers we had. :-) I have one of them left that I haven't used yet.

Wow, I used to have a bunch of these, back when I started making jewelry, a l-o-n-g time ago! They're Mother of Pearl, btw.
