Description

The listing, 2 Rhipsalis Cuttings has ended.

You will receive 2 fresh cuttings from the plant shown. Cuttings root easily and grow at a pretty good rate.

This plant will produce tiny white flowers and then the flowers will give you round white seed pods.

This plant is not hardy in Mich., or Northern States. It is a tropical and would be hardy in Southern states. I summer mine outdoors and by fall it has grown considerably.

I don't know the exact name of this plant, but I am pretty sure it may be in the Rhipsalis family.

The large plant pictured is the mommy and not up for bid.
Your cuttings will come from her.

Free Shipping/Shipping in United States only.
Local pick up also available.

No buyers remorse. Be sure before you bid.

Will ship to verified address only-all Listia rules apply.

Can you tell me does the plant bloom often or just in the early summer or all through the summer months? Also do you just plant the cuttings in moist soil and keep soil moist to somewhat moist?

I summer it outside (Michigan) on my deck where it gets light not sun. Long about end of July it will set flowers and will continue after I bring it inside. In fact it is still blooming, not as much as before, but here and there. They are tiny little white flowers then it will get round white orbs where the flower was. I guess you can harvest the seed, I have never tried.

You can start them in moist soil, moist spaghnum, moist perlite or any medium you prefer. I keep the medium BARELY moist. I would rather have to gently lay a piece of saran wrap over it than keep it too wet.

I don't bury the ends, just kind of lay the stem on the medium so the end makes contact and it will send down roots. There are many ways to start succulents this is the way I do it. Feel free to ask any other questions.

I summer it outside on the deck and it starts blooming around July or Aug and my mommy plant is still blooming as of today. I keep my soil barely damp for succulents, don't want them to rot
