I'm a little confused, the package says they are 1 GB each, but the back of the memory sticks say they are 512 MB each

Hi. Sorry. Yup you are indeed right. The clamshells were mixed up & they are to other memory that he has.

So this is for 2 512MB

Did not come out of anything. Brand new just put in a different clamshell for safe keeping. If you are looking for anything specific, I can ask my Dad. he's a retired programmer & has a bunch of computer stuff. He likes to fix & toy with computers in his free time
