The listing, LIVE Cherokee Rose Plant has ended.

This is a live bare root plant. The roots need to be soaked for several hours then planted. This rose is a climber if left alone. Can grow up to 30'. If you prefer to do a little work you can keep it trimmed and have a beautiful full bush full of these outstanding blooms in early spring. Adapts to most soil types and grows in zones 4-10. Plant will be shipped in a bubble wrap envelope. If anything happens to limbs just cut off soak roots and plant. New limbs will grow.

Thanks this is a great plant. Once established it takes no extra care and mine survives off of rain water. I Fertilize once a year and that is it.

The Cherokee rose legend names the flower for the tears of the Cherokee squaws that had braves and warriors that died in battle. The chief prayed for relief for the squaws, and from that day on, each tear that a mother cried created a flower. The white flower symbolizes the tear and the gold center symbolizes the gold that was taken from the Indians. Each flower has seven petals for each of the seven Cherokee clans.
