In honor of my 2000th auction being listed this week, I figured we'd focus tonight on vintage cards of Hall of Fame baseball players.

THE CARD:
This is a 1976 Isaly's LOU BROCK baseball disc. These were issued by MSA, generally through regional food vendors. Isaly's was a dairy vendor centered in Pittsburgh, PA who also sold through restaurants called Sweet William Family Restauarants, which were named for William Isaly.

THE PLAYER:
A St. Louis institution, Lou set both the single season and career stolen base records during his years with the Cardinals. Most people forget: Lou is also a member of the 3000 hit club, and batted .304 in his last season (1979), so there was still a lot left in the tank when Lou hung up his cleats.
