The listing, Antique Silver Metal Tongs, Bird Leg & Claw Design, 6 1/4" Long has ended.

Antique silver metal 'claw' tongs could be used for a sugar cube bowl or ice cubes....or anything!! These are in great condition, could use some polishing.

All I know of them is that they are very old, and there is absolutely no manufacturer or metal type marking on them.

I would be willing to gin these at 4500 pts out of the six sets five are sold at 6000 pts down to 2700 pts so i would take 4500 pts as a gin their are fees involved with a gin auction. if you are interested in doing that just let me know and as long as i don't have bids yet i can change it to a gin auction next time me and you are online together. i appreciate the nice answer you gave me i work hard to make everyone gets a fair deal. it helps me clean out my house and i like to help other's get things that they enjoy it makes all of this worthwhile when i get comment's like what you posted thank you very much i appreciate it pam

That is a very kind offer, Pam! I will give you 5,000 credits on a GIN. That will help you out a bit with the shipping, also. My grandparents had this exact ice prong, they had bought it in England in 1945, and it was old then. I grew up with it, and then one day it was mine, and my children grew up with it. Then I needed a nurse, in the home, and one of them cleaned us out, all our family heirlooms, my identity, even my medicine! It was pretty awful. So when I am able, I come on here and pray to be blessed to win back a few of my 'memories' Since my daughter & I live on $470 a month, Listia is just amazing.
