Yes it can be used with any system as long as you have a PlayStation account. I just received it with the ps4.

How do i use this, after i sign up , i never tried ps plus, do i have to use my credit card and pay for the ps plus, i have a ps3. please help me with what ever i need to use this code , thanks

It does require a credit card but you can cancel at any time (before the 30 days is up) and not be charged. The only time they charge you is after the 30 days. I'm sure you can use a visa gift card if you don't have a credit card. The charge (if not stopped within 30 days) is $17.99 every 3 months.
