Description

The listing, Vintage Marine Band Harmonica Key C by M. Hohner in original Case has ended.

This is a great collectible to own. It is a Harmonica made for the Marine band in Germany by M. Hohner in Key Of "C". Hohner harmonicas are the best made harmonicas made. I was informed it sales from 54.00 to over 100.00 by a Listia member who obviously knows harmonicas and their value especially the vintage ones.

It has wonderful graphics on both sides and measures 5 1/4" long and 1" wide.

It says key G on the right corner. Most you fine selling on eBay are key or note C. I might be wrong because I`m not a instrument player as you can tell. Thanks!

It plays in the key of C the G model harmonicas have 16 holes. I did research on this one using the pics. It retails for 54.00 to 114.00 on the current market. The hohner harmonicas in the key of G are larger and by far more expensive. I'm no expert, but you can find them on Ebay for the prices listed. So bid people...bid..Have a nice day

there is one thing... it wasn't made FOR the marine band. That's a model. The Marine band model has been around forever it seems. You can still buy it new, but of course new stuff ... well even though Hohner is a quality brand, nothing's made these days like it was a ways back. Any idea as to the exact age of this one? That effects the potential value a lot. New they're like 20 to 30 bucks. Some of the really old ones in functional shape can command much higher prices. I'm thinking this is a sixties model.

I was told the same thing by the person I purchased it from who is an antique dealer. Thanks for letting me know about what the marine band really mean. I love learning new things. Hope you bid on it! I will fan you and hope you do the same.

I have the bid so far... but I usually lose out to those with many more points to throw around.
