The listing, ANDREW McCUTCHEN autograph w/ proof of authenticity! 2013 NL MVP! has ended.

This is a 2012 Topps Red Parallel card, autographed in-person by Andrew McCutchen of the Pittburgh Pirates.

Andrew was the 2013 National League MVP, outpacing Yadier Molina and Paul Goldschmidt for the award after leading the Pirates to their first winning season in 21 years.

I have met Andrew on several occasions at different team sponsored events as well as before games; while I live in Virginia, we go to Pittsburgh for 3-4 game sets twice a year, as well as attending Pirates games when they play in Washington or Baltimore.

This card was signed at PiratesFest in December 2012. As I am a hardcore McCutchen collector, I am a little surprised I am giving it away, but having met him a few times now, I have several McCutchen autos, including 2 on the 2012 Red Parallel (which seems kind of pointless), so I figured why not; it will clear up some room in my case for the Dave Parker auto I plan on getting at The Show at Chantilly in April.
Check out the picture above; that's me with Cutch. Yes, I am a wooly guy, but that is a story for another day, and no, we're not actually at PNC ... that's a screen up at the event, which was held at the convention center about a mile from PNC.

Many thanks. I hope it finds a good home with someone who loves the Pirates and Cutch as much as I do. It's been GREAT having a player like this in Pittsburgh; we haven't had anyone to cheer for on the diamond in quite some time. No one would even stay on the team for more than a year or two. Yesterday they signed Marte to a 6 year extension, too.

I have his Bowman rookie card signed from a Indianapolis vs Toledo game in 2008; while I live in Virginia now, I stayed in Miamisburg, OH in 2008 while I went through treatment for cancer at Kettering; I honestly wish I had made a few more trips out to watch games while I was there, but it's kind of weird going places when you have no hair, eyebrows or anything.

Cutch! man it would be an honor to have met him, i have 3 minor league cards of him, when he was with the Altoona Curve. I just recently got a schedule of him in a Curve uniform, its this years but since ur a big collector of Cutch, i figure i give u one, free of charge.

I'm pleased with the win; I'm concerned that they only scored one run against the Cubs, and that it took longer than the regulation 9 to do it. We need some offense. We squandered a lot of opportunities to pick up a fair-market first baseman during the offseason, and despite everyone's claims that he needs at bats at AAA, Polanco outshined all the right fielders during spring training, which tells me he is more ready than they are. Snider would be trade bait if I were running the team.
All that said ... I still feel good about 90 wins this year. LETS GO BUCS!
