I'm pretty sure this a 3rd gen (I have the same one). You can usually buy batteries pretty cheap off eBay and they normally come with the tool kit and a link to a YouTube video showing you how to do it. (FYI - for anyone interested :)
Any music on it? Does it do video? Can you post model number so I can see what generation and check other details out please. Thanks so much! Nice auction.
and this is not an ipod classic!!!!!!!!!! so what apple says about classic does not matter here! if i am fixing a jeep, do i care how hard it is to fix a vette? no-
Sorry to give my 2 cents but have to let you all know--- you can buy this battery NEW! for around 7-10 bucks! and go to youtube to see how to replace it-- it is so simple!!! really- i ahve fixed ipod touch/iphone/ and 3rd gens -- takes about half hour max--- just google it! do it yourself and save! plus it will come in handy down the road to be able to repair things yourself------good luck!
The iPod classic has a aluminum (not plastic) silver or black front with a metallic silver back. Unfortunately, it is VERY hard to remove the backing from the 80GB, 120GB, and 160GB iPod classic without completely mangling it, so in good conscience we are unable to offer a do it yourself battery replacement kit for this model. I got this off of the Ipod website.
Not you hun lol, when you see the @ sign with someones user name right after it, its meant for that specific person. @zandasmom thats who I was referring to.
