The listing, "Original" Royal Engagement Ring look-alike! has ended.

It was purchased in 1981 when Prince Charles gave "the ring" to Lady Diana! Simulated oval, blue saphire surrounded by cubic zirconias, with 4 prongs and nice filagree detailing. Size 7 1/2 & marked 14k GF. Blue stone is well cut/shaped to reflect the light and the ring shows minimal wear for it's age (I can see 2 tiny marks on corner of the blue stone and the back of the band looks a little dull). The photos do not show how pretty it really is! I will wrap with care and mail for free, but if you want a guarentee you will need to pay for the insurance. If I forgot anything, please ask & Thanks for looking.

Seriously, this belonged to my Canadian "Other" Mother and she was obsessed with Prince Charles & Lady Diana. She passed years ago (She did not live through the divorce & death, it would have broken her heart) and it is time some of these things find a new, loving home.

Ha-ha, I'm a getting old and we have too much room on this old homestead, so I never throw anything away. Much of it is acquired from family that has passed. Many things don't have big value, but are too special not to find a place they will be apppreciated. I needed to find Listia, it is a good place for me.

By the way this is a interesting stone. It looks very light blue sometimes and very dark other times. It must be the shape. Wonder it the original does that, I have not read anything about that detail.

Oh no, they say it is one of the most famous stone & ring in the world now, it had alot of history before the 2 engagements, I am susue someome has commented on color and everything else. It will be the cover of a magazine on a slow news week=)
