The listing, Canna Bulbs priority envelope full (3+shoots) has ended.
My Canna just keeps giving. Lots of bulbs to sell from pulling it up this year...the last photo is an example of them. I bought this at a roadside stand in an 8" pot just three years ago.
In my humble opinion, these are the nicer canna. They have the gorgeous gradient leaves from dark jungle green to crimson, and darker red flowers (as compared to plain light green leaves and not-as-rich red flowers)
In climates where the ground freezes, you have to store them overwinter inside. I believe that is the case even where there are just freezing temperatures as well. Keep in some oranic medium: dirt, peat, newpaper, etc. They start to sprout around February but cannot be put out until June, when all chance of frost is gone. (I put mine out too early this year, and the foliage died off every time there was frost, delaying their growth; but they did survive)
I'm sorry, but shipping is a pretty expensive deal. The bulbs are large and heavy. An envelope full will include some packing (just newspaper). Cannas don't grow into neat packages - sometimes there's single large bulb (which you can separate), and sometimes several smaller ones. Larger = older, bigger, but fewer. Smaller = higher quantity, but younger & smaller. I will try to accomodate if you have a preference. An envelope weights between 1.5 - 2.5 pounds, so the best price I can get is $6 (priority envelope). They wanted $10 for plain ol' parcel post. But I am certain that the plants are worth at least the cost of shipping.
