The listing, Green Gables Cup and saucer with japanese dragon has ended.

This is a miniature cup and saucer set. The cup is just under 2" high. The bottom of both of the cup and saucer set are both stamped with Japan. The dragon is hand painted on with some kind of ceramic. Very cute. Payment for shipping is only accepted through paypal.

Questions & Comments

appears to be moriage pottery, made in Japan beginning in the late 19th century through today. It's called "Dragonware" and the dragon (on older pieces) is very ornate and usually wraps completely around the piece. It is a different type of ceramic than the saucer and is added separately from the original piece. Hope that helps a little. F&W.

There are no chips or cracks sorry I'm not sure what crazing means. There is a mark on the saucer in pic 2 by the word gables as seen in the picture. :)
