Originally with the Houston Astros, Pence --- who finished 3rd in 2007 Rookie of the Year voting and a 2-time All Star who has received MVP votes 3 different times --- enjoyed one of his best seasons in 2013 at age 30, hitting 27 home runs and driving in 99 runs for the San Francisco Giants. Traded to the Giants in late 2012, he had 17 hits for the Giants during the 2012 postseason, helping the Giants to the 2012 World Series championship. For his career, he has over 1150 hits and 650 RBI ... so far. The Giants have Pence inked to a guaranteed contract through 2018.
