Depending on your Mac. If it uses DDR2 then yes (Pre unibody construction - 2008). But your Mac usually comes with 2GB installed (2x1GB Sodimms). How much memory do you already have in your system?

Notice: Modern Macs use DDR3 with 2 or 4GB installed.
