So, why am I auctioning a brand new set of 2x 4GB cards for the computer? Well, it is because my hubby is the biggest computer geek I know (but I am sure there are Listians out there that could give him a run for his money, lol).

We bought a new desktop last month for him and it came with this great 8GB of power. It should be enough for almost anybody to do anything with a modern home or office computer. But, not hubby. He works at home using statistics programs and huge datasets or some such technology stuff. So, I agreed that he could buy the upgrade but only if he'd let me auction off the original GB.

These are brand new and never used. He popped them out of the computer brain and into the anti-static sleeves you see in pictures 4-5 before the new desktop was ever turned on, so you are getting what would cost $100 retail. Even on EBay, it costs $50 to purchase this!

Who are we to say such things.
None are perfect. We are only human. This is a ddr3 though, I can tell by the number of slots.

Everybody be sure your ram u are looking for uses unbuffered ram because these will not fit where buffered ram goes just a tad of difference in the slot alignment

i too am a computer geek how can you say that these are ddr3 when a ddr3 has 2 slots in the brass teeth ddr2 has 1 slot just like i have in my puter better look or take to shop and make sure that they are ddr3 and not ddr2 ok

No, it is definitely a ddr3. If it has two slots it is the older SDR Ram, all RAM of the DDR (DDR1 DDR2 DDR3) standard have one slot. If your motherboard is designed for DDR2, this memory will not work in your computer.
