This is another seed auction I won that she was kind enough to send me extras. THIS AUCTION IS FOR 25 SEEDS TO GROW CONFEDERATE ROSES. This was the description she gave, quite interesting!
The Confederate Rose was at one time very common in the area of the Confederate States of America, this how it got it's common name! Confederate Roses tend to be shrubby & treelike in Zones 9 & 10, though behaves more like a Perennial further North. Flowers can be double & single and 4-6" in diameter. These plants have a very fast growth rate! When it does not freeze, the Confederate Rose can reach heights of 15-18 ft. with a woody trunk. However, a much bushier 4-5 ft plant is more tropical & produces more flowers.
