The USB720 wireless modem is so compact it will fit right into a pocket or your purse for on the go use. The USB720 is virtually compatible with all the latest notebooks, desktops and handhelds that come w/an industry standard USB interface.
The USB720 works seamlessly with the Enterprise edition of VZAccess Manager software and supports Windows® (2000, XP, and Vista), and Mac OS X.
The USB720 is highly compact, measuring Dimensions 3.52 x 1.49 x .69 inches (89.5 x 38 x 17.6 mm) and weighing a mere 1.6 ounces (45 g).
Is fully compatible with the Verizon Wireless’ enhanced and existing wireless broadband networks and the company’s National Access network (based on CDMA 1xRTT technology)
The modem has an advanced dual band diversity antenna system design with an integrated flip antenna, which maximizes performance (speed/coverage) and strengthens network signal reception. Typical Download Speeds 450-800 kbps and uploads speeds of 300-400 kbps

May I ask, how old you are? It is basically a portable modem for access to the internet., and a PC card. So you can get on the internet anywhere, anytime. You will have to activate it through Verison.When you go to the above link, click on Simulator, and hopefully they can explain better than me.

Okay, let's see if I can help you to understand what it is that this item will do. If you go over to a friends house, and they don't have a computer, or or any other type of device that you could use to get on the internet. But you have your laptop, or tablet or cell phone with you and you want to check on your auction on Listia. If you have this item, and you have activated and set up an account with Verizon. Then you can plug this into your laptop and you will have access to the internet and you will be able to check on your auction . Do you think you understand now. I am horrible at explaining electronics. Can anybody out there help explain this better?

Good morning my favorite Listian, how have you been feeling? I am doing so so. I am interested in this item, but I don't want to make an account with Verizon as I already have my cable which includes internet, but I also have an account w/ATT or my cell phone. So your saying I basically have to have a contract with Verizon,or you don't know. Maybe I'll just do some checking. But I sure have missed chatting with you :)

OK it is a modem. That easy to explain. U hook this thu the usb port on your computer and it uses a phone number to access the internet. It is just like cricket it is Broadband Access.

the other is a wireless card that you slid into the side of the laptop to link to a wireless router. It only works if you have internet access but 1st one is a modem that hooks you up thu like a cellphone does.
